Michael Hill | President
Michael is the current Executive Director of Orphan Support Africa based in Malawi. He has previously worked as Director of Counseling and Community Services at Las Clinicas del Norte in northern New Mexico. He has 36 years experience in community mental health programs. Michael was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Malawi, 1964-66.
Garry Prime | Chair
Garry is a self employed business executive/consultant specializing in M & A with an orientation to finance and marketing. He helped start the Malawi Children’s Village in 1995. Garry served as a Peace Corps teacher in Malawi in the mid 1960's.
Dr. Delwin Roy | Secretary
Delwin is a former Ford Foundation executive in the Middle East/Africa Group and Founding President and CEO Emeritus of The Hitachi Foundation. He is currently Senior Partner in the Loita Group of Companies, an African-based multinational finance and information technology firm.
Virginia Carollo Rubin
Virginia Carollo Rubin has more than 40 years experience in nonprofit development and management. Ginny has served as Director of Development for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Exploratorium,the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund, and the Antioch School of Law.
Roger Nozaki
Roger serves as Associate Dean of the College and Director of the Howard R. Swearer Center for Public Service at Brown University. Prior to this role, Roger served as executive director of the GE Foundation. Roger joined GE from The Hitachi Foundation, where he served as senior program officer, addressing issues of education, community development, and corporate citizenship.
Justin CHINYANTA
N. Justin Chinyanta is the founder Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Loita Holdings. He is a Barrister at Law and a specialist and expert in the financial markets of Sub-Sahara Africa. He is the Executive Vice` President for the Southern Africa Chapter of the Africa Business Roundtable (ABR), and is on the Expert Roster of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research for the Debt, Financial Management & Negotiation Programs. He has recently been invited to join Harvard University as a Fellow of the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs.
Katharine R. Hobart
Katharine R. Hobart PhD, MSW, co-founder Sustainable Community Solutions, Inc. is a researcher and macro practice social worker with over 24 years of community practice experience. She has assisted numerous human service organizations and communities, both in the USA and abroad with participant-centered program development and evaluation, impact monitoring and community organizing strategies. Dr. Hobart has a long held commitment to empowerment practice and has worked extensively with communities to enhance their care-giving capacities. In 2007-2008, while living in the highlands of Guatemala she developed a variety of education and evaluation programs for a micro credit organization. Dr. Hobart teaches within the macro practice sequence as an adjunct professor at the University Of Denver Graduate School Of Social Work.
